FAQ

What is the aim of this site?
Coalition Governments - generally - are not stable.  They have the potential to crash and burn.  These are new waters for a modern-day Britain.  The aim of this site is to serve as a warning to grassroots members of both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats as to what we judge to believe the state of the coalition.

How do you work out the time?
By using non-scaremongering newspapers, opinion polls (that are judged over a week), grassroots 'feeling', (hopefully) insider Westminster knowledge and reputable blog posts, we will judge the minutes to midnight.

What time can it potentially drop to?

The clock will never be at a time before 20 to midnight.  This is because of the nature of this coalition - it is unstable by its very nature because this is a relatively new thing in politics.

How independent is this site?
Despite the fact that this web site is largely maintained by a Conservative activist (One Nation Tory), it will have contributions from both Conservatives and Liberal Democrats.  It will also - from time to time - include the (very few) reputable Labour blogs.

Will there be analysis as well as the minutes to midnight?

On every post, we will justify why the time is at stated position.  There will also be links to blogs which will offer a deeper analysis.
